I agree that job interest holds greater importance than the salary it gives to a certain extent.
In my point of view i think this is so because if you want to do well in a job and be always fully committed, one has to always like what he or she is doing. This proves my first point that the commitment in a job is more importance than the amount paid. i think that if someone is not keen on working the job he is working now then there will be utterly no point in life. Unless the person's wish in life is to forever stay unhappy about the job he has and that life is just to earn big bucks. I think that if a person wants his or her life to be truly meaningful, he or she has to choose wisely between money and happiness. A person gets one life only and it is either they work to live or live to work. I support the fact that if someone is given a task that he or she does not like at all, he or she will not do it diligently and willingly, unlike someone else who has his dream job and does whatever task given with the utmost thinking that what he or she is doing is something that is meaningful and life-fulfilling hence the person will be able to concentrate and not lose focus in what he or she loves.
Furthermore, to prove my stand i think that the fact that people naturally do not perform well in jobs is because they are not getting the jobs that they want. An example are the office workers in the business career who do not always look so happy every time (no offence) , most of them grew up ever since young with the naive thinking that they will become astronauts or scientist when they grow up, and maybe some of them to be the tycoons of their company, but even so if they are not able to reach their targets, then they will be spending the rest of their lives achieving materialistic goals and never fulfilling their mental goals. This kind of thinking will affect the worker's job as they will be doing something that is torturous towards them and are finding it a burden to do what they are unwilling to do. So the interest of the person in his or her job is a key factor in the working society.
However, the issue about money is also important, as money makes the world go round, and not everyone can do the specific job that he or she wants to, some of them has to take the unwanted jobs every now and then. The amount of salary given in the worker's pay is very important as the pay will help the worker to be able to fulfill whatever earthly need he or she has. Hence the amount of money gotten will enable the worker to be able to pay off things like phone bills and family needs. Some workers put family above all else, hence it is important that their family is safe and secure, so being financially stable is more important to them than their interest.
In conclusion, interest in a job clearly outweighs the issue about the amount of salary.
