  1. Refeering to the article " Youths abusing drugs". I think that why many youths take drugs is they are too stressed, by studies family problems relationships and many other problems like peer pressure. Everybody has their own set of problems, it depends on whether you are able to take the stress and difficulty to help you persevere through the difficult times. Since, many youths are unable to unleash their stress and unhappiness within them, they seek the comfort in drugs for drugs can make them happy, drugs can push them out of reality and they do not have to face their problems anymore. Plus , the fact whereby the rise of internet has made it easier for youths to purchase prescription online.
Youths need to be aware of the consequences of taking drugs, drugs only offers temporary comfort and solace but its long term effects are much much worse, you will continue to pay and pay until you have no money to afford your drugs usage and slowly you will be paying your life to the god of death. Youths need to know that they are not alone. There are always people here to help them, seek help if there is a problem and you are unable to solve it, or you just need a listening ear, approach a trustworthy adult whom is able to resolve your problem. Teens should also maintain a positive mindset and a healthy lifestyle. The most important thing is to stay firm, say NO to drugs!

  2. Referring to the article " Youths abusing drugs".
Many youths nowadays take drugs. This may arise due to many reasons such as problems occurring in their families or schools. Hence, they take drugs to destress, or to relieve their stress.
Furthermore, they may take drugs due to peer pressure. this happens when they are forced by their friends under unavoidable circumstances or they do not dare to say 'NO'. This causes them to take drugs consequently.
Thus, it is important that youths shouldknow how to take care of themselves and act according to circumstances.

  3. I refer to the article " Youth abusing drugs". There is a recent increase in the number of teenagers abusing drugs. There are many factors that contributes to this trend.
Firstly, the higher spending power of a teenager. Teenagers nowadays are richer as they usually have a part-time work during the holidays. Hence, with the extra amount of money they earn, they will be able to spend it the things that they want to buy.
Secondly, the influence of the mass media. Very often, we wactched television shows that portrays a certain character abusing drugs. When teenagers wactched all these shows, they will feel curious and will want to try out on them.
Furthermore, the internet also serves as a place where people purchase these drugs. Take an example from a dealer, who only wants to mane himself Mr Lim. He actually buys mephedrone online and sold it to his friends. Blogshops and ebay gave the possiblity that such goods are being able to sell in the country.
This issue certainly boils down to the education that the students receive. Nowadays, schools are actually do not promote much on civic moral education. Hence, teenagers will not be able to learn that they need to take and love their own body. Thus, many would try to consume such drugs which which they know that it will lead to the increase risk death, injury, violent encounter or unwanted sexual activites.
Therefore, i feel that teenagers must be educated more towards this issue.

  4. Referring to "Youths abusing drugs", I think that everyone has their own problems, whether it is pressure or relationships, especially teenagers.

Firstly, people who take drugs may become high temporarily, and the effects will wear off eventually. As a result, youths will keep on consuming it to remain high. This will affect their health and result in many diseases. In the worse case scenario, death.

Secondly, once they are gone, what will happen to their loved ones who are left behind? How will they feel? They of course will feel depressed. Therefore, youths who take drugs should consider and think about the consequences of their actions. Every action or thing one does, has an impact on oneself or others. Hence, we have to think before we act.

Lastly, taking drugs may make people high, but it is only temporary and will not last long. The possible reasons for taking drugs are probably because of stress from school work, or peer pressure, or boy girl relationships. It is probably inevitable for some people, as they take taking drugs as their last resort. They might think that no one cares for them or no one understands them. However, that is certainly not true. Most parents love their children and wishes for their happiness. They can only pray that they have raised their children well enough.

In conclusion, this matter is just learning how to say "No!" to others. We have to think for ourselves and not about fitting in or about trends that everyone is a part of. We should also learn to act appropriately and think of the consequences that our actions might bring about.

  5. Referring to the article " Youths abusing drugs", i feel that more youngsters nowadays are taking drugs. Most teenagers take drugs due to the peer pressure amongst their friends. another reason to why they take drugs is that they are more stressed due to studies and other factors in their lives. Taking drugs enables them to escape to their own world and forget all their problems for the time being. I feel that teenagers should think of the various consequences to the taking of drugs before they even think of taking drugs. They should realise that taking drugs do not make them any "cooler" and is not the solution to their problems. the best way is to solve the problem. There are also many side effects of taking drugs and the person who takes them would have a hard time trying to quit drugs because they are addicted. Why try drugs in the first place when it ruins your life ?

  6. Referring to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs", I think that the youngsters today are getting much more foolish to not be able to think of the consequences of taking drugs. Youths may take drugs because of stress and pressure from their daily lives. They may not be able to release their frustrations through other safer methods and resorted to drugs which could temporary help them forget all problems. I think it is plain stupid for one to think that drugs is the only way out to remove misery from their lives.

  7. Referring to the article "Youths abusing drugs", there are many reasons why youths of today are turning to drugs.

Firstly, teenagers of today take drugs as a form of stress release, due to the stringent education that singapore adopts, teenagers find it hard to look for a way to relax their mind. Hence they turn to drugs as it allows them to relax for a short period of time and is not time consuming. teenagers of today think that only through taking drugs will they then feel like as though they have receive enlightenment. It is not true because once the teen takes the drug, he/she will soon be addicted onto the drugs and from then on the teens will be unable to control oneself hence causing more hurt to oneself.

secondly i think teenager take drugs as a way of showing that they are cool. one way to say this is that every school there is bound to be a group of people who would be acknowledged as the' cool gang'. However if one wants to join this cool gang, one will have to do something wild to prove oneself that he/she is worthy of joining the gang. Hence they turn to drug taking as it will prove themselves worthy.

lastly, due to media influence, teens are more exposed to the outside world. Hence topics like drug taking is not a stranger towards them. this means that the media has affected them as now teens are open to the world of drugs, some of them would even know where to get them which will lead to drug addiction sooner or later.

hence it is bad to take drugs so dont start taking any drugs at all.

  8. Referring to the article ''Youths abusing drugs'', I feel that youths take drugs to relieve stress as they are having too much pressure from either family, friends or school. Youths find that drugs allows them to relieve stress and relax. Youths may also take drugs because they feel that it is 'cool' to do so. They are seeking attention from their friends or family. Youths may also want to prove that they are matured by taking drugs. But taking drugs depend on the youths, if the youth does not want to take drugs, nobody can do anything to him. Hence, it is very important to say NO to drugs.

  9. Referring to the article "Am i kiasu? Yes. Am i kiasi? No", i feel that being a kiasu has more advantage compare to being a kiasi.
Being a kiasi means that one is afraid or would panic when disasters strikes and be unable to respond appropriately. when this happens, one will feel disgruntled, allowing one to wallow in self-pity. This causes huge suffering and the only solution would be turning to the help of the supernatural. Thus i feel that being kiasi is pathetic and has the lack of self-confidence and determination in facing reality.
On the other hand, being a kiasu simply refers to one being afraid of losing. It also means that one has experience an unfortunate outcome and is afraid of going through it again. But when the fear of suffering goes away, one will then think of possible ways of tackling or responding to the disaster or negative events. I feel that the key of overcoming the fear of suffering is to have a calm and steady mind. With this, it stimulates thinking and reduces anxiety. It will probably allow one to view problems or disasters from a different perspective. This also has the advantage to reduce future occurring terrible events.
For what does not kill one makes one stronger. Being able to be challenge by disasters allows one to be even stronger in future.

  10. Referring to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs", I personally feel that there are 2 main reasons for youths to take drugs.

Youths take drugs to numb themselves from feelings, stress etc. They use drugs to bring them away from the reality. For example, a teenager comes from a family in which his/her parents do not care about him/her, and he/she do not feel love and care, even in school, teacher reprimands him/her without knowing his/her problems. This might cause the teenager being unable to cope with his feelings and stress, which would left him no choice but to numb himself/herself from the pains with drug.

On the other hand, youths sometimes take drugs unwillingly, but they still did so because they were affected by people around them. They are afraid of being left out, thus they do not have their own choice of choosing to do, what is right and what is wrong. Hence, their opinions get sway easily by their peers. This is why they continue to take drugs to get along with their peers, that likewise also take drugs, even though they might think it is not right.

In conclusion, the issue on youths abusing drugs depends on their friends and family. Therefore to reduce the amount of youths taking drugs, requires the help from the friends and family as well.

  11. Referring to "YOUTHS ABUSING DRUGS", I feel very strongly that people who take drugs usually are strongly compelled to do so and are not just "trying out". This is as in today's well-informed Singapore, where anti-drug posters pepper the walls of schools or community centres, people KNOW that using drugs is a ridiculously stupid idea due to all the deleterious consequences that follow. The people who take drugs are the ones who are either tired of life, heavily depressed or just plain stupid. Mostly, it' the latter. Basically cause teenagers nowadays do not give a damn about their well-being and they are dead set on disappointing their parents by indulging into coke crack ice or other narcotics.

    Thus ends my view. Goodbye.

  12. i refer to the drugs article. I feel that youths take drugs to relieve stress is because they suffer from too much pressure from either family, friends or school.youngsters today are getting much more foolish to not be able to think of the consequences of taking drugs. Youths find that drugs allows them to relieve stress and relax. Youths may also take drugs because they feel that it is 'cool' to do so, so that they can mix in well with their friends. They are seeking attention from their friends or family. Youths may also want to prove that they are matured by taking drugs. in actual fact, drugs does not help improve ones life at all. it in fact damages the body and may even cause death.so, i think that youths should just put down those drugs and get a life, instead of meddling with those tablet things that make your mind insane.

  13. Referring to the article, "Youth Abusing Drugs", youths that take drugs have different reasons. Firstly, they needed to find a way to destress and in order to do that, they wanted to get "high" and forget about the pressure on them like Lesley who is taking her A levels in a junior college. taking drugs is also counted as an recreational activity. these people take them to enhance their clubbing experience because all these are classfied under "party" drugs. However, youths that turn to drugs may not have plucked up enough courage to reject drugs from their peers that are influencing them. they may also not be matured enough to find out the consequences of consuming too much of Ketamine and also the side-effects.

  14. Referring to the article "am i kiasu or am i Kiasi" i think youths now are very easily distracted. youths nowadays are very fragile and they are thus, very easily influenced by them to take drugs and thus indulge in very bad activities.
youths nowadays are also using stress releif as an excuse for taking drugs as they put the blame on peer pressure and the increased amount of workload being burdened on them.
Youths also think doing activities such as drug abuse will make them look more mature and thus gain a some respect among their peers.
The effects of drug are very severe as it will very bad consequences academically and also emotionally. drug abusers are also seen as a bad aspect of the society which prevents alot of people from mingling with them.
In conclusion, drug abuse is a habit that has to be dropped or not to be picked up by youths.

  15. I refer to the article 'Youths Abusing Drugs'. In my opinion, a teenager does not require drugs to have a great clubbing experience. This can be done with close friends and still end in a wonderful memory without a guilty conscience. Only those with low self-esteem will go that low to enjoy clubbing.Drugs also risk dirtying one's record and cost a bomb and are hard to find. On the other hand, consuming drugs to enhance one's clubbing experience will make him unaware of his surroundings. Health problems are another disadvantage that can become ailments in old age.
Live healthy without drugs! You definitely won't regret it. ;D

  16. Referring to the article "Youth Abusing Drugs". I think that the teenagers nowadays are under the peer pressure of their 'friends'. Not to mention, if they are their true friends. However, teenagers nowadays are greatly affected by the smallest thing their friends will say. For example, smoking is another case thats very popular among teenagers. The crime was mostly commited under peers' 'suggestion'.
When one refuses to oblige, his or peers will start with the "Don't dare is it? Chicken lah you!" This will allow the teenager to feel left out from the group of friends and finally, submit to them.
Thus, this also makes no difference from teenagers sbusing drugs.

  17. I refer to the article "Youths abusing drugs". I think that youths turn to drugs due to stress, out of curiosity, as well as peer pressure. Youths may take drugs as an outlet to relieve their stress they are having as a result of family, friends or schools. Youths may also take drugs because they do not want to look down by their friends or they may think that drugs are "cool".
I think that schools and parents should educate the youths about the consequences of taking drugs and how not to subcumb to peer pressure.
Youths should consider the consequences before taking, as they will not only bring harm to themselves, but also hurt their loved ones too.

  18. Reffering to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs", I personally feel that there are 2 main reasons for youths to take drugs. Many youths opt drugs to numb themselves from feeling such as mental pressure and stress. Many students are who dont really do well in acadamics and have poor leadership qualities often tend to use drugs as a way to deviate themselves from these stresses.

The other reason is that people also can get influenced by their surroundings, people give into peer pressure and accept drugs from friends and other bad influeneces. They are often emotionally blackmailed and they do not what to do other than to take drugs in order to fit it with their friends but they are oblivious to the disadvantages of drugs.
In conclusion, youths abusing drugs highly depends on the individual's MINDSET and their friends and family. To reduce the outcome of youths abusing drugs, they should interact with their families and stay away from bad influences

  19. Referring to the article 'Youths abusing drugs', I feel that youths feel more stressed, thus leading to the increased abuse of drugs.

To escape from their stressed filled lives, even if for a short while, they resort to consuming drugs so that they can be relieved from the everyday troubles they face.

The increased spending power youths nowadays possess also contributes largely to the rise of drug abuse. With higher spending power, teens are more willing to pay more money for entertainment. Hence, youths are more willing to part with their money in exchange for the expensive drugs.

Lastly, youths might also be influenced by their friends that take drugs to follow suit. They might feel left out or even pressurised whenever their friends speak of their drug-using experience. They eventually start to consume drugs so that they can maintain their friendship with their friends.

In conclusion, I feel that youths that consume drugs for whatever reason should stop, for drugs can only serve as a temporary escape from reality. It will not bring about any benefits to anyone's future; it will only bring about feelings of regret and anguish.

  20. Refeering to the article " Youths abusing drugs".i feel that it is wrong to do so and there are some reasons that more youths abuse drugs nowadays.
Firstly, youth take drugs as a way to relieve stress.Teens nowadays are face with stress from several factors , stress from studying in school, economical stress and stress from family. With stress from these factors, thwe teen with no way to destress , turn to drugs as a solution with the estaic 'high' feeling it gives to the teen.
Secondly , peer pressure. With teens nowadays going to clubs and parties , they encounter many thing from drinking to smoking , from flashmobing to drugging . Some teens are under pressure are force to take drug as it is the cool thing and if the teen don't take drugs he or she is considered not "cool" and would be rejected by the community of their friends.
Drugs would bring about health problems and cause freinds and family to leave their social circle
In conclusion, teens should always say NO to drugs as it brings about bad consequences such as health problems and friends leaving their social circle.

  21. Referring to the article, "Youths abusing drugs".

Recently, there is an increase in the number of teengers abusing drugs. In my personal opinion, i feel that more teenagers are abusing drugs because of peer pressure, stress from their studies or from their parents and the rise of internet, as written in the article.

Peer pressure causes a rise in the number of youths abusing drugs because if some drug abusers may pressure their friends to take drugs as well. some teenagers may not be able to succumb to peer pressure. Hence, they follow their friends' footsteps to look "cool" in front of them.

Due to the fast moving pace of society today, some teenagers may be feeling very pressured due to their studies. Some may even receive a lot of pressure from their parents of high expectations.
Thus, they turn to drugs as a form of relief.

Rise of internet contributes to the rise of number of youths abusing drugs because the internet provide teenagers with knowledge of everything. Out of curiousty, they may research about drugs on the internet. However, the internet might be providing temptations for the teen.

  22. Referring to the article " Youths abusing drugs".

Nowadays, youths take drugs to distress or maybe by peer pressure. Some might think that taking drugs is cool. But it isn't. Consuming drugs will only make you get addicted to it. This will make you consume more than what your body can take, causing health problem which one may regret. But some youths can have the mind set of not taking drugs. Why can't all the others do that! If so, there won't be a drug rehab for one to quit taking drugs. Thus, i think taking drugs is something that one should really consider before taking it.

  23. Referring to the article "Youth Abusing Drugs",youths who chose to abuse drugs have different reasons. One of the most common reasons is due to peer pressure. They want to fit into a "cool" clique, hence, they pick up bad habits from them, and the more serious case is taking drugs. There are other reasons to youths abusing drugs too. Youths want to relieve themselves from stress, hence they abuse drugs to escape from reality temporarily. This allows them to immerse themselves in their own world, forgetting about all troubles temporarily.
However, in actual fact, drugs do not help us in anything. They are only going to do youths worse if they continue abusing them. One will get addicted after a short period of time, and will crave to have it every single time. It is also bad for health after consuming them for quite awhile.

  24. Illustrating to the article of 'Youths Abusing Drugs' , I think that youths resort to taking drugs could be cause by a few reaons. It maybe academic stress, family disputes or pressure of friends.
Firstly, academic stress, these youths mostly still in their schooling days suffer stress from studying in school. As some school, students are competitive in terms of academic results. Hence those lacking behind will find themselves under stress and naturally turn to drugs to solve their problem.
Next, family disputes. Some youths may come from a family background whereby their parents do not give them enough care and concern due to a hectic workload. Therefore, in order to entertain themselves, these youths consume drugs to sastify and pleasurize themselves.
Lastly, the pressure of friends. Youths nowadays like to go with the trend and want to build up a cool image for individual self. Hence, many youth have a wrong mindset that taking drugs and going to clubs for clubbing is "cool". Thus , under the influence of their friends, these youth take drugs to prove to their friends that they are cool.

I personally feel that there are many reasons for youths to take drugs.

Youths may take drugs because they do not want to be left out by their friends or they may think that drugs are "cool".Youths may take drugs if they are too stressed, due to studies or by family problems.Youths may also feel that doing these activities such as drug abuse will make them look more mature and thus gaining more respect among their peers.
It is not true because once the teen takes the drug, the teen will soon be addicted onto the drugs and from then on . The teens will be unable to control oneself and go to very extreme ways to get hold of the drug which will result in the teen in hurting himself .

In conclusion , i feel that the teen takes drugs as a way of escaping the harsh truths of reality .

  26. I refer to the article 'Youth abusing drugs'. In the article, it is stated that there is increasing number of youths nowadays who are abusing drugs because of a variety of reasons. One of these reasons include the rise of the internet.I agree with this statement because i feel that the internet is a big platform through which drug dealers conduct their deals, and teenagers can easily obtain them. In the past, you had to find a drug dealer all by yourself. Nowadays, just a few clicks and you will be able to obtain a range of drugs and also choose the quantity of them.

I feel that if we want to stop the rise in number of drug abusing youths, we have to raise the age limit of clubs. This is because many of the drugs are used as energy boosters for club events. If these teenagers are banned from entering the club in the first place, they will not have that motivation to use these drugs.

    Say NOOO to drugs!!!

  27. I refer to the article “Youths abusing drugs”.
Over the years, the number of teenagers abusing drugs has been increasing rapidly. This may be due to several factors. First of all, youths nowadays are facing much pressure given by either themselves or their parents for good academic results. When these youths feel that they are unable to cope and manage their stress well, they will turn to do illegal actions such as taking illegal drugs to relieve stress. However, they do not realise the seriousness of the consequences of doing so. Youths that take in illegal drugs may face a fine of a large sum of money, face imprisonment or in some cases, both. It is important that youths know that there are many people around them that love and treasure them a lot. If anything happens to them, not only they will suffer, those around them will suffer even more.

The usage of Internet has always been very popular among people in this century, especially among the teenagers. Therefore, it would be good if parents with children at their teenage years supervise and show more care and concern for them. Small conversations with them every now and then would be essential because parents will then know what their children are thinking and can guide them to the correct paths. Youths, on the other hand, should also do their part by avoiding sites that enable them to purchase illegal drugs online in order to prevent themselves from being in a dilemma on whether to buy those banned drugs.

Schools have also arranged for talks that educate students not to take in illegal drugs because they may harm their health and even cause them to regret in the later part of their lives. Leading a healthy lifestyle would be a desirable option to choose instead of the former. It not only helps one to be in good health, it also helps one to manage stress well in a legal and healthy way. Lastly, it is important to kNOw drugs!

  28. Referring the the article "Youth abusing drugs".
There are several reasons why youths nowadays are taking drugs. Firstly, I think that they are trying to run away from their problems and stress. By taking drugs, it would allow them to feel "high" for a while and forget about the cares of the world temporarily. However, coming back to harsh reality, they are only worsening their situation by running away from their problems and not trying to think of a soluton to solve them. Secondly, youths are also able to gain access to drugs much more easier than before. Through the improvements of the technological services, they are able to get a prescription of the drugs even without going to the pharmacy themselves. And lastly, the environment and the friends that they mix around with greatly influence they way they treat drugs. If they mix around with the bad company, they will be less able to get out of the addiction for drugs as no on is there to guide them on the decisions they make.

  29. there are many reasons nowadays why youths turn to drugs .
firstly , it could be because of peer pressure . peer pressure often kicks in as a result of stress in studies or with other emotional problems . hence , they may choose drugs as an alternative for relieving their stress . once they feel it is effective in relieving their pain , they will continue to adopt drugs . Hence , this would lead to them getting hooked on and addicted to these harmful substances .
secondly , i feel that youths nowadays are curious about many things that surround them , this may not just be about drugs , they can also be seen in smoking . their curious nature is another factor that may lead to them taking drugs .

  30. Referring to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs", I think that there are many reasons to this. Most youths came to the extent of taking drugs because they are too stress. I personally think that taking drugs might be better compared to commiting suicide. However, taking drugs is not the best solution to stress. Myself, I think that playing games or doing some other activities is a better solution.

Another reason why youths take drugs is because of the bad influence they had from their fellow friends. Taking drugs may seems cool and very exiting, but the consecuences of drug may be disastrous.

In conclusion, I think that we shouldn't take drugs to distress or pleasurize ourselves. We must not make friends with people who force us from taking drugs.

  31. Youth Abusing Drugs

I feel that youth should not abuse drugs. Drugs is so expensive, youth are wasting their percious money. Youth take drugs because they have too much preasure from their daily life. I feel that they should not use drug to deal with stress, they should do other activities to relieve stress. Drug destroys people life, because it cause them to be arrested. Taking drugs does not help them in relieving stress, instead it cause them to suffer. More youth are abusing drugs because they have more spending power and they travel more. The internet also make it easy for youths to get drugs. Taking drugs is not good for people health and it also causes people to have risky behaviour.

  32. I think that youth abusing drugs are mainly because they tend to rebel when they are teens. They tend to think that they are to stressed out from their studies, therefore result to taking drugs to distress.

The second factor is that youths take drugs because they are being influenced by their friends and do not want to be left out by their friends. When one's friends are taking drugs, one is most likely to be offered to take them as well, and also result in being addicted to it.

Youths take drugs might also be because of the fact that they think that their friends might gain more respect towards them. This usually make them feel more matured and comfortable.

Therefore, I think that youths take drugs just to gain more attention from others and also gain more trust from frineds.

  33. I'm referring to the article on drugs.I think that the youngsters this days are all very foolish to consume drugs.I think that youths take drugs to relieve stress because they suffer from too much pressure from either family, friends or school. They also seek to blend in with their friends who are also consuming drugs to be "cool". Overall,I think that youths consume drugs as a escape route from reality. However,I personally feel that youths shouldn't do this because it just ain't right. They should talk about their personal problems with their parents or children as its the better solution. The consumption of drugs will not only harm their body, they are also destroying their future because they will be addicted on the drugs.

  34. Youths take drugs is they are too stressed, by tudies or by family problems. They will not know how to handle these stresses properly and eventually turn to drugs because of peer pressure. Also youths feel that its cool to take drugs because they feel that it sets them apart from others . Some of them even think drugs as a unique outlet from which they can escape reality. However , there is a effective way to help these teens. One method may to provide strong emotional support for them to ensure that they lead a healthy lifestyle , without them being exposed to drugs . Another method would be to provide counselling for them to allow them to have a outlet for their emotional neeed so that they would not have to use drugs to escape from reality

  35. Referring to the article, "Youths Abusing Drugs", I think that many youths abuse drugs as it is easy to obtain them. Therefore they used it as a way to destress. Youths today are under alot of stress as they face problems like school, work, relationship and family problems. To relieve themselves, they used drugs. With drugs, they can feel "high" and ecstatic for the moment which allows them to forget their problems.
Many youths also consume drugs while they are at a party to "heighten" their clubbing experience. They may face peer pressure while at this parties or felt that it is a need to feel happier at the party so they consume these drugs.
Consuming these drugs may have many side effects like being addicted or an overdose may cause death. I think that drug abuse problems by youths have to be tackled as these youths are just hurting themselves. To solve the problem, families or friends or the youths have to help them as they cannot do these by themselves.

  36. Referring to "Youths Abusing Drugs", I feel that youths will abuse drugs are due to some reasons.

Firstly, some of the youths abuse drugs is because of the friends around them persuade them to do it. Some of the youths do not know how to reject their friends' request thus end up abusing drugs like them.

Secondly, some of the youths are too stress when they are coping with their studies or due to some family problems or relationships problems. They make use of taking in drugs to relieve stress so that they can escape from their problems temporarily.

Thirdly, youths abuse drugs are only because of fun. They do not know the consequences of taking in drugs such as they will be addicted to it. They think that they can stop taking drugs without addict to it after taking for awhile. They also do not know that how serious offences it is.

Thus i conclude that the youths are not educated in terms of the laws and the serious offences that they make, so I suggest that the schools and parents should tell them what are the right things to do and tell them the consequences of abusing drugs.

  37. Referring to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs", I think that the youngsters today are getting much more silly to not be able to think of the consequences of taking drugs. Youths may take drugs because of peer pressure and also curious to try how it is like. They may not be able to vent their frustrations through other means and resorted to drugs which could temporary help them forget all problems and as a result feel happy temporary. I think it is foolish and just childish to try out such dangerous stuff. if their parents find out about it , they will be really disappointed and they will let their parents down Consuming drugs may have many side effects like being addicted or an overdose may cause death. I think that drug abuse problems by youths have to be tackled as these youths are just hurting themselves. To solve the problem, families or friends or the youths have to help them as they cannot do these by themselves.
providing counselling for them to allow them to have a outlet for their emotional neeed so that they would not have to use drugs to escape from reality

  38. I refer to the article of "youths abusing drugs" and shake my head at these youths for their risky actions.

Youths of the particular generation investigated are not completely unexposed to the dangers of drugs. I am dissapointed to know that they have consciously taken drugs and are continuing to. It is startling to know that they are taking it until they actually experience the side effects or the Extreme negative outcome. It is as though they are waiting for their doctor to tell them that they have been diagnosed with something terminal before deciding the break the habit. I find it frankly ridiculous.

I respect the authorities for trying their best to get around all the known drugs and to put a stop to their use for the good of our younger generations.

I believe that there will always be alternative ways to relieve stress other than using drugs and that drugs is NOT always the last straw to go even in extremely dire situations. In fact, i think that drugs should not even be an option to start off with, not to mention how it is extremely inappropriate for the older generation to influence their juniors and entice them with drugs. Referring to Lesley's case as an example as she got her first whiff of drugs from her boyfriend who is older than her.

Thus I believe that the younger generation ought to have more self-control over their actions and decisions before committing themselves to anything that they may regret later in the future since drugs are infamous for being extremely addictive.

Due to their curiosity and wanting to try attitude, they will be very likely to try drugs and be addicted to them.
they should always think of the consequences that awaits them and avoid hurting other people.
It also have effects that are detrimental for health which could in turn lead to many health problems in the future.

  40. Refering to the article "Youth abusing drugs".

There is an increasing trend of youths taking drugs nowadays. Compared to the pass few years, the number of youths taking drugs today has increased tremendously. As people become more technologically advanced, they are able to buy drugs online, instead of the old-fashion method of meeting with the drug dealer face to face.

One of the reason for youths to abuse drugs is that they feel that they need a moment of peace, free from their stressful surroundings. The youths these days are facing stress and pressure from their studies. Due the the accumulating pressure, they felt that they had enough and want a way out. Taking drug seem to be a fast way out of their troubles. It numbs them from all of their troubles and stress.

Youths also take drugs due to peer pressure and influence. Their friends might be abusing drugs and so to appear cool and also to fit in with them, the youths would be very tempted to abuse drugs. Once they took a dose of it, they would be hooked on. It might seem fun to them to be able to do what most of their friends are doing.

However, I think that no matter what the reasons are, abusing drugs is a foolish and silly action. It not only destroy one's future, it also harm one's health.

  41. I refer to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs". In the recent years, there has been an increasing number of drug abuse cases from youths that are below 25 years of age.

Youths are consuming these drugs to stimulate or destress themselves.

Youths that get stressed are most likely students, as they receive lots of pressure from their parents to do well in their studies. Thus, as a way of destressing themselves, they consume these drugs as if would lift them up. And this eventually leads to the addiction. On the contrary, with anti-drug posters and talks in schools and community centres, these youths continue to consume these drugs.

With the availability of legal drugs such as mephedrone, it is not surprising if youths are found carrying them. The consumption of these drugs are made worse in house parties , when friends share the drugs amoung themselves to get high.

Continued consumption of these drugs lead to addiction, which could harm a person's health. Also, addiction could lead them to crimes such as theft so they could get money to purchase the drugs.

In Conclusion I feel that youths should not consume these harmful drugs as it would not be good for them mentally and physically.

  42. I refer to the article "Youths Abusing Drugs". Recently,in the modern days, there has been an increase in the number of drug abuse.
I think that there is a reason that there is an increase in the number of drug abuse. It may be due to the stress they are receiving from ther families and peers. They often use drugs as an 'escape route' to forget all the bad stuff that is happening to them.To them drugs allow them to feel at peace.Due to the consumption of drugs,it leads to drug addiction. This affects their health in a harnmful way.
Another reason may also be due to peer pressure,as all their friends are using drugs, they may feel out of place and tend to be a victim of drug abuse.
Hence, drugs harms their health and may also affect their emotion. This makes an individual who are on drugs to be wild and may also contract illnesses.

  43. Reffering to the article "Youth abusing drugs". It is stated that there is increasing number of youths nowadays who are abusing drugs because of a variety of reasons. I think youth take drugs as a way to relieve stress and Youths may take drugs because of peer pressure and also curious to try how it is like. Teens nowadays are face with stress from several factors , stress from studying in school, economical stress and stress from family. With stress from these factors, thwe teen with no way to destress , turn to drugs as a solution with the estaic 'high' feeling it gives to the teen. Another reason for teens to take drug is because of peer pressure, they do not know how to reject their friends request for them to take drugs. Teens should always say NO to drugs as it brings about many bad consequences.
