Job interest holds greater importance than the salary it gives. How far do you agree with this statement?

I agree with this statement to a certain extent.

When a person chooses his or her job based on their interests, it is more likely that the person would enjoy his or her time while working more even if it is a tiring task. Although choosing a job that is based on one's interest is a better choice, this is a rare chance for one to choose a job he or she likes over a job that has a higher salary. It is also seldom for people to be able to get into the job they want.

Being able to have a job one is interested in enables one to enjoy his or her time at work and would not feel stressed or burdened to wake up for another day at work. Completing assignments and tasks assigned to a person will also seem a lot less tiring when he or she has interest in doing it. A day at work would not feel like a chore. Instead, it would be something that people could actually looked forward to.

Doing something one enjoys could also give purpose to their lives. This enables them to have a positive attitude and mindset towards life. Being in a happier mood lowers the possibilites of one having a bad temper as he or she would not be aggitated or annoyed easily when there is an addition to things they looked forward to and enjoys. Their attitude at work would be more pleasant and working with their colleagues would be easier.

However, the chances of people choosing the job they have interests in are rather low. People usually care more on how much would they get paid. The salary of the job contributes to a person's social status. Therefore, they would be more likely to want a job that would improve their social status instead of one they have interests in as it is a part of the human nature. Since the cost of living has always been increasing, people would be more likely to choose a job that give a higher salary to balance the cost of their living, especially those who have a family to support.

Therefore, I agree to the statement stated to a certain extent.
