Question: Job interest holds greater importance than the salary it gives. How far do you agree with this statement?

I agree to this comment to a limited extent only. The whole point of a job is to earn money to sustain one's lifestyle, is it not? Without a job, you'll obviously find it a little harder to make ends meet, yes? And with such heavy competition nowadays, it's hardly sensible to be a fusspot when it comes to getting a job, is it? Many people of today would grab whatever job opportunity they can, let alone trying to find a job that is in his or her interest. Take a music career, for example. There are scores of youngsters dreaming to take up music as a life career. However, since music is such a competitive industry, many of these students also take up a side degree such as banking or tourism, so that they would have something to fall back on in case their musical dreams do not come to pass. This broadcasts the fact that indeed, following your interests is only a minor luxury compared to having a good, stable job and being able to uphold yourself and your family.

However, some situations may portray that having a job that does not interest it's owner produces a boring, monotone lifestyle, which may lead these owners into severe depression, diarrhea (^_^), or a midlife crisis. These are not desirable traits in a person, so people may still decide to take their passion into a career instead of finding a stabler job. Having a job that interests you brings about a more exuberant style of life. People can enjoy doing what they love and do best, and make money out of it. It's an obvious win-win-triplewin situation! The disadvantage for this is, how much money can you make, and how easy is it to find such desirable circumstances? In both cases, it's a negative answer. Furthermore, if a family that needs to be fed is involved, the stakes are way way waaaay higher, and a stable job is of vital importance. Your own selfish interests are not important!

Therefore, the conclusion to my essay is that job interest does NOT hold greater importance than the salary it gives. Bam.
